About the Mexican Fan Palm

The Mexican Fan Palm Tree is one of the fastest growing of all palm tree varieties.  As the name suggests it originates in Mexico but has spread throughout California and the rest of the United States.

The tree has bright green leave and grows 30-50 feet in the Charleston area but has been known to grow much larger in desert conditions.

This palm is not as cold hardy as the California Fan palm and may experience leaf damage below 15° but is quick to recover in the spring due to its rapid growth.

Good as a specimen or in a grouping and one of the best palms to buy in smaller sizes due to its quick growth.

The Mexican Fan Palm Tree is recommended for Mt. Pleasant, Charleston, Kiawah SC and surrounding areas.
